AGBOR—FOUR suspected cultists have been killed in a clash between Aye and Black Axe Baga at Owa in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.

One of those killed is believed to be a politician from Ute Okpu in same local government area.

Vanguard gathered that there had been rivalry between the two cult groups over who had control of the area, which had resulted in attacks, counter-attacks and killings for about four years.

Investigations by Vanguard showed that tension had gripped the people over incessant shootouts by cultists in the community.

When Vanguard visited the community, nightlife had been adversely affected as people rushed home before 7p.m., as if there was curfew in the town.

The Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Agbor Police Division, Albert Dike, confirmed the incident, saying police were investigating the matter.

Last October, a suspected cultist, on a motorcycle at Agbor, was shot in broad daylight by two other suspected cultists, riding a different motorcycle.
