Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have paraded 50 suspected cultists and 25 others arrested for suspected armed robbery and kidnappings.
The suspects were arrested at various parts of the state while holding meetings or conducting initiations.
Also arrested were three persons who impersonated an orphanage, Voice of Freedom Ministry Orphanage Home owned by Bishop Abraham Chigbundu.
The three suspects were Esewi Richard aged 19, Omonigho Godstime aged 18 and Uhunoma Enadeghe aged 18.
They were arrested after Bishop Chigbundu petitioned the police over a case of Internet fraud.
According to Police Commissioner, Chris Ezike, the suspects have defrauded several persons and that the police used Hi-Tech internet intelligence to nab the suspects.
Commissioner Ezike said the police were on the trail of teenage serial killer identified as Happy Agbangbanyan.
He said Happy escaped arrest because of lack of adequate data.
The State police boss warned that kidnapping, robbery and gangsterism would be on the rise if cultism is not curb.
Members of cult confraternities arrested included Vikings, Marphites, Black Axe, Ilayer NPC, Warlord, Eiye, Aye, Akus, BM, Jurist, and TZ.
